I've got well over 6,000 miles on mine and that includes some pretty nasty roads and they look fine. Dirty but no cracking. I do have a spare pair of greaseable equalizers just in case they do decide to fail.

Not sure how much good they really do and figure they will fail at some point even without this rubber issue. I will probably replace them with the solid equalizers if and when that happens.

Good to hear Dexter is stepping up to the plate though.

The ones I installed on my fiver about 4 years ago have held up fine. My new TT came with the TrailAir Equaflex. There is also the products from Mor Ryde.

lol
I just hope this is the LAST set I put on...

Will be doing that when I take care of the infamous Lippert frame cracks about the hangers, that's a whole other story...

Is this a do it yourself project for some one with some mechanical back ground and basic tools available? Or should I push the dealer as we are still under warranty?

If you have them and they're cracking and your trailer is still underwarranty you should take it to the dealer IMO.
Takes an afternoon for me to do a pair.

If you have a ball joint service tool, several heavy duty jacks, and some big heavy duty jackstands, you can waste an afternoon doing this yourself and get filthy. Or you could waste the equivalent of an afternoon taking it to the dealer and picking it up, not need any tools, and remain clean in the process. Your call.

You don't need any special ball joint press to put them in, I didn't use them, could get by with a couple hydraulic bottle jacks and blocks of wood to support the frame..
Plus, assuming he already has the EZ-Flex system and is just changing out the center equalizers it's really not that big a job.

My new ones are about 3 months and 2 short trips. They look like the pictures in Dexters adds. The first 2 sets were squished and cracked looking as soon as they took the weight of the trailer. You can replace just the equalizer without a ball joint tool, like Fisherguy said, but if you have one it makes things easier to remove and reseat the equalizer bolt. Stiii a half day job crawling around on the ground.
