ladyrver has a good point. Sometimes your striker plate on door jamb doesn't quite line up well and makes the fit tight with the deadbolt. Pull door and try. If successful you may want to adjust the plate. I had no choice but to destroy mine with a lost key.

Can you access the mounting screws from the inside? Breaking ther lock with a screw driver would be my last resort. Not sure the door, structurally speaking, is up to that. Please let us know how you do it and replace the lock for sure. Best of luck.

Roy, with a hybrid, you can just go through one of the bunk ends to get inside. i had to when i had a similar thing happen.
no need to crawl through a small window.

another one of the advantages hybrids have over other types of RVs.

Brings back memories. Our second trip out with the new hybrid, I lost the whole set of keys an hour after setting up. I had put them on the bumper of the truck and we had to run out to a store in town.

My Jayco has fully attached tent ends ( Which i LOVE) so no going through there.

I ended up leaving my wife ans SIL at the camp while I drove home to get the spare set. Luckily, it was only an hour each way.

I now keep a spare set hidden in the truck just in case.

All good suggestions folks. However, got about two or three centemeters(one inch) of snow today. Things are messy outside. Should be clear on the weekend. Will crawl in thru the tent and give her another go. Will keep you posted. Thanks again.

Hey Folks
Called Kodiak today. They say replace it. Will try taking it apart from the inside. If that doesn't work I'll try mobilefleet suggestion and punch it out and replace it with a new one.

Dadmomh....freezing wd40??? Where do you live? Alaska?

Thanks for all the help.

Hey Guys
Finally got the dead bolt fixed.
Called a local locksmith. Turned out he did all the lock work for two local RV dealers. I crawled in thru the tent (God bless Hybrids) and took out he whole handle mechanizim. A piece of the key (cheap) had broken off and was preventing the key from working. He put in a new tumbler(with new keys), I re-installed and everything works fine. Happy ending! By the way, the local RV dealer charged $85 an hour, min. one hour to fix the lock....Shop around!

Same thing happened on my 2011 Shamrock ,i went in through the front bunk and using a phillips screwdriver took the latch apart and opened the door. I was able to get it unlocked and i just used the other lock to lock it till i got a new one ,My dealer sold me the wrong one and they are 90 miles from me so I ordered one from http://www.fastecindustrial.com/ the part number and key numbers are on the lock once you get it removed.. They are the people that make most of the locks and i figured that changing the whole lock also gave me 2 extra keys that arent dime store remakes ...
