I have a 2005 Forest River of California Sandpiper sport T-31sp triple axel toy hauler. I am trying to trade it in and the dealers I have been going to cant find it in their blue book. I have tried at least 3 different dealers and nobody can find it. I thought I found it myself on the NADA site but it only shows a double axel. Any help would be great.
I don't find a "T" in that model when I look at the 2006, 2005 or 2004. I also don't see where it states the number of axles at all. Assuming you bought it new my first thought was you bought a late 2005 that had been upgraded to the 2006 in some ways. If you bought it used, perhaps the original owner had it customized. I'm guessing you are looking to sell or trade in. If the dealers can find it, and they should be able to the option might be to call Forst River and see if anyone can direct you, or you're going to end up using the pricing that is listed for the 2005 and hopefully adjust a a bit for the additional axle. The suggested retail price is only about $17k so you're not going to add much for the additional axle.
Thank you, the $17K seems about right. I bought it new in 2005. I still have the original paperwork and it states T-31SP which does not show up anywhere. The dealer where we are trying to trade it in is stating that if they cannot find it in the NADA no one will be able to finance it, so they are offering me 10K Thanks again for your help.
Forest River might have some idea what the T means, the others on NADA all have an M I think. It also might not mean a darn thing. I googled, "2005 forest river sandpiper 31sp" and found photos from a couple similar units listed at $22k so tells me that it's not all that uncommon of a unit. My gut says that somewhere mid-year they may have started adding a 3rd axle to them.
