Anyone know how to get it back to shining? It's all the way around the lower portion of my camper and is dull from oxidation I'm assuming.

Previous years I've used Turtlewax Rubbing and Polishing compounds. The results were OK. This season, I used Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish. The results were much, much better. Mothers will remove all the swirl marks on the surface. It left my trim with a mirror finish. Very pleased. The fine print says it is not recommended for chrome, so I was a little apprehensive at first. After moderate elbow grease, the finish has a brilliant reflection. This is not the only product that will work as others will attest. But Mothers worked for me.
Good luck...........

The trick is to seal the surface after polishing and brightening it. Also don't ever take your trailer through a Blue Beacon commercial wash and let them use what they call "brightener" as it is a mild acid and will forever etch the aluminum making it prone to surface oxidation.

This is the only way, Fast and easy. Buffing ball Mothers also has the wax to use with it.

Or get you a pad for a side grinder and the rouge for wheels. Its also fast.

You may want to keep it that way by testing Red Max Pro #3 or the same product under the Zep label.

Yep, Mothers Mag polish and a buffer will bring back the shine. I have to do my boat trailer diamond plate about every 3 years. The polish ball is okay but any orbital buffer will do. I have even used the polishing wheels that you mount on a drill.

Last year I had to clean/ polish mine with a large polishing wheel and white polishing stick. The Mothers ball and polish just couldnt do it. Was dull from road chemicals after a Christmas trip thru snow and ice.

I have found the diamond plate is pretty sharp and tears the heck out of any polishing ball, pad or cloth. Once the edges are polished off and it is smooth, then hand cleaning is much easier.
