Most likely that fender was repaired or replaced not a big deal if the repair was done right. As far as "Show Me The Car-Fax" their a joke!

My truck had the tailgate replaced, the RR 1/4 panel replaced and a comp claim worth $6K that does not show up on any reports. Same went for my 2002 $9K+ damage to it but the Car-Fax showed clean.

Body repairs are no big deal if done correctly by a professional body shop. Hell frames get bent from the rail yards all the time during shipping. Used to be any damage under $500.00 did not need to be disclosed now it's $1000-1500. A buddy did 150+ Jeeps for Chrysler that had bent frames from the RR, Chrysler told him if he charged $499.00 per vehicle he could have the work. He was a busy boy for a few weeks.

Buy the emblems from the link IB supplied and don't think about it again. I would join a good Ford forum and find out the trick to removing those spark plugs though.

Yeah, they pop a lot of plugs! What world are you living in? As long as the plugs are changed correctly and on 60k intervals instead of the 100k that Ford recommends, you should be good.

You have no idea what your talking about, but thats ok a lot dont when it comes the plug issue. It has an inherently weak design because they only put in 3 threads in the heads. Why do you think dorman would make a head repair kit "specifically" for the ford heads if it wasnt warranted as you seem to believe. Steel spark plugs in aluminum heads is bad enough, but when you cut the thread count down to 3 in the softest metal it will have failures. And they did, and still do. Lots of them.

Thank you so much!

And everyone else, thanks too.

This truck is everything that I have wanted for the past year.

I haven't towed with it yet, but I did drop it on the ball to try and get my hitch set up. Well, thats a discussion for the Towing forum.

Thanks!

I tried to add this post last night but my connection was bad...

Before you tow, swap the fluid in the axle(s), and put some good synthetic in there. The dana 80 rear is a brute, but it just like all rear ends will disintegrate with crappy fluids.

that's pretty good advice. When ever I buy a truck the first thing I do is change the transmission fluid and the rear end fluid.

Wow buddy - I can't believe you succumbed to the "you need a 1 ton dually" advice often expressed here.

Just kidding - beautiful truck - have fun with it!
