Had alternator repaired on the road, tech damaged A/C hose, had that repaired, now the vacuum motor that controls dash vent controls no longer works. Unit is 99 National Tradewinds, Freightliner chassis.
any suggestions?

I'd check in the area where your heavy handed tech was. He/she could have dislodged a vacuum line that goes to or come from an accumulator. Jusy my two cents...

Vacuum line was knocked loose or damaged. Hunting it down can sometimes take some time.

I would think that it is a belt driven unit so it should be hanging on the engine just like the alternator or A/C pump. As said by someone else a line may have come off or gotten kinked. If it is DC powered then it could be anywhere.

Thanks for the answers, but, the coach is diesel, there is no engine vacuum. It is supplied by a vacuum pump, which i could hear running in the past. Now I don't hear it anymore. Not knowing what it even looks like, or where it is located make diagnoses tricky. There must be an electrical connection somewhere, but I don't have a clue.

Thats a great little vacuum pump! I have one on my 93 Pace Arrow. Note the black & red wires, they are connected to a vacuum switch. These vacuum pumps "should" shut down when proper vacuum is reached. Other, more expensive vacuum pumps I have seen stay on as long as the ignition switch is on. They tend to wear out rather fast & expensive to replace.

that pump ia a HELSA PUMP. TEST BY putting directly 12 volts to pump. to make sure it runs. then if it does search for vacuum switch. if these are not working . you can get another on ebay. search for cruise pump. i got mine for $20 delivered.

btw the pump when running makes a noise... a low frequency buzz. you will know when it works.
