i have a 1962 Triumph TR4 and would like to tow that behind my MH. The problem is that I can;t find a base plate for this vehicle (checked already with different manufacturers). Would anybody here have an idea what I can do to get towing with the TR4?

I'm sure any decent Automotive/Welding shop could build some base plates for the TR! That said do You really want to drag it. Personally I would put it on or in a Trailer!

But that would bring me back to all the trailer towing problems! The TR4 is very solid and sturdy. I use it as a daily driver during summer!

I'm not sure, but there is a very good chance that you will burn out the rear output shaft bearing in the transmission towing it.
Not many of those old manual transmission vehicles were towable.
But, it IS yours, the decision to tow it is also yours.
Good luck.

If I remember right.. there is a fill plug on the side casting of the transmission that you fill to that level,, remove and change that to a street elbow which raises the gear oil up about inch and a quarter.. when the trans is in neutral as towing,, the cluster gear is not spinning throwing lub all over all the bearings.. the hiher oil level will let the rear spinning stub shaft throw some lube around.. oK FOR local bring it home towing but for all day and hundreds of miles??????

It's a safe bet that you'll need to have someone custom fabricate a base-plate. I would be petrified to be doing that to such a cool, classic ride!

I made brackets for my 1959 Austin Healey and flat towed it several times before I got an enclosed trailer.

My brackets bolted to where the front bumper is removed.
I know three others who tow Healeys, one behind an RV and two to Vintage Races as far away as both coasts. The racers use copies of my brackets.
I'm confident that your driveline will be fine, but you're unlikely to find a baseplate or brackets unless you can find someone with them, with the design, or you can design and fabricate them yourself.
I'll ask about towing and brackets in a couple of the British Car Forums to which I belong. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Thanks for all the advise. I did not think about the output bearing. And no, I am neither thin nor nimble enough to crawl underneath the TR4 without having it on jack stands!
and no, I do not want to weld anything to the frame. This means, no flat towing of my TR4. It was the DW idea anyway to have a cool car around with us!

Yessir, that "street ell" trick works, but the higher lube level may puke out of the vent, or leak out the rear seal making a HUGE mess!
It could even leak out the FRONT seal, contaminating the clutch!
It is like taking some medications; they work, but OH, the side effects!
Fer shure, if I had a TR4, it would go on a trailer. Better yet, IN a trailer!
