One more suggestion for you. I know you said your wife isn't very hands on with camping. She will need to learn how to tow, hook up, Unhook and set up. That way you have a back up plan in case anything happens. And I mean anything from a bad fall resulting in a sprained ankle (or worse) to god forbid an infection wears you down. Anything can happen. DH sets everything up for us but I am capable of doing it. I do all the driving but dh is capable of doing it and practices on shorter runs. Good luck and I hope you find the right little TT for your needs.

I am new here and love what I have read so far, which has been limited. I have been towing campers for quite some time as well as boats snowmobile trailers and utility trailers. By no means would I say the liberty is my choice to tow with but in saying that there are a lot of options out there for you to tow a smaller travel trailer. You may feel the wind more and it may not be as enjoyable as towing w a full size but it can be done. Take your time and do some research on weights. I just sold a hybrid that weighed 2850 so if you add your 1000 lbs of stuff tour siting well under.17/18ft trailers can come in at this weight area as well. Its a great starting point then as you and your family get older you may want to step up to a bigger vehicle and trailer. Good luck. You can look at eBay and see lots of models just to get an idea. All the best w your health and enjoy your travels when you get your trailer

Not knowing all of your weight specs, have you looked at Rockwood mini lite trailers? They have some pretty good floorplans that might work for your TV. I saw some pretty nice looking KZ trailers in your weight range, problem was, they got their by limiting cargo load to a ridiculously # that you will never be able to obtain w/ a family of 3. Average campers load 1000-1500 lbs in a trailer, KZ is limiting CCC to 400-800 lbs in some of these trailers. So be cautious and pay attention to all numbers.

I don't see many around and not sure I've seen on this forum. Would they fall under hybrid or pop up? Might get some answers there. Also try a websearch for an owners forum. Those often have a great resource for interested buyers.

A few years ago I camped next to someone that had a Trailmanor, I don't recall the size/length. He said he liked it for the ease of towing and low profile but it did take longer to set up and take down. He had his wife, 2 kids and mother in law with him. He did like the amount of space but it was more like a popup to stow everything for travel. It was not the kind of thing where he could stop in a parking lot or rest area and go into to grab a quick lunch or use the potty.

I think I did see a forum for Trailmanor owners someplace.

I've never seen one up close. They may be the ones with the composting toilet in them. Not a bad thing but, I hear it takes just a bit more maintenance on it to keep it working well. If you get one post some pictures and tell us what it's like. I always thought they looked interesting.

I am doing alot of research on the trail manor and yes it is a pop up but without the canvas the owenrs love them can't seem to find any bad info the older models take longer to set uo then newer but being able t easily tow a 21 foot that opens into a solid usefull 27 foot was somthing I never dreamed my big clincher now is the price I wanted to spend sub 8k looks like I may near in the 12k with the trail manor if I do some good shopping to find a decent one but maybe the extra cash is worth the space saftey and gas milage savings spoke to a fella said it felt like he was towing his boat that is something I am used to doing also said did gfeat on gas so another option I suppose still aways out before the cash leaves the wallet
