Does WalMart make keys? Like for my RV's deadbolt? In what department?

Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

Yes they do. The Key machine is in different places at different Wal-Marts, but usually they are in the hardware or camping department. The big question will they have the blank you need for your key. There is one blank that is difficult to find anywhere but a lock smith. I have forgotten the name of it. Chances are good they can make what you want.

From my experience with having keys cut at Wal Mart, Totem, Canadian Tire and Home Depot, save yourself some frustration and go to a look smith to get keys cut. One trip is always better than two or more. They may be slightly more but, the value is clearly there!

They also make them at Lowes and Home Depot.

The key machine where I've had keys made is at the automotive desk at Walmart.

You would be surprised on this: Lowe's has a cartridge based key cutting system that makes blanks a lot better than the locksmiths I've tried, assuming they have the blank.

For your RV's deadbolt, I'd not bother with either locksmiths or the hardware store. Get the key code off your RV's key (assuming it starts with HF and has three numbers), then go here and have your keys made the right way -- stamped with a code from the factory. Guaranteed to work unless the code was wrong.

The last time I had RV keys cut by a locksmith, the guy put the wrong key in the wrong clamp on the cutter, leaving me without originals (although I did have another set of keys so wasn't totally SOL.) So, if I can buy keys just by code, I do so.

LOTS of places cut keys but they don't always have the proper blank. BEST practice is to find a lock smith as they generally have the largest selection of blanks.

The blanks you need are probably Trimark and Walmart won't have them. I vote for goig to a real locksmith.

I agree that the problem will be finding a place with the blank. Not a common one. I had to go to a locksmith before I found a place with the correct blank. Hardware store, Home Depot, Lowe's, did not have it.

Most RV Dealer part departments have the blanks and can make the keys. I have never had any luck finding them anywhere else.
