We somehow managed to pick up 4-5 small (dime-size or less)splashes (now hardened)of concrete on one of our exterior storage doors.

Any ideas on how to safely remove them without damaging the finish?

Thanks

Jim

i would try white vinegar and a soft cloth.

I had concrete on my truck a while back and it worked..

vinegar is a weak acid and should clean it up..

I bought 'Muratic Acid' at Menards home supply in the area for kitchen tile... KEEP safe away from children.. it is weak 10% H2SO4
Used to clean up rock wall and splashes on sink counter tops..

This would be my suggestion also. Start with very low pressure and try to spray at an angle either from the right or left side. Do NOT spray straight on. Increase the pressure very slowly until you have just enough pressure to remove the concrete. Once the spots are removed, if there are any minor markings (scratches), try to remove the markings with a good automotive paste wax. Hope this works.

Having had a concrete pumper blow a hose at my house several years ago, I would not use a pressure washer. They tried that on my vehicles and roof, needless to say the roof needed all new shingles as the pressure blew off the coating of my shingles.

To remove the dried concrete off my two affected vehicles, they use a Qtip soaked in muriatic acid and dabbed the concrete until it softened and then used copious amounts of water to rinse the area. Didn't affected the paint on the vehicle a bit and removed the concrete.

I can tell vinegar will eat concrete but hard to apply on a wall.

Update on concrete splash removal. WHITE VINEGAR WORKS!

To those of you who suggested white vinegar - thanks. A Q tip applying small amounts of vinegar followed by a gentle scrape with the edge of a paint stirrer seems to have done the trick without visible damage to the finish.

Thanks to all!

Jim
