Our weim went through the training when he was 6 months old, just before we went to Yelloestone NP. We stayed in a CG just outside the park in MT and were walking down a rocky trail. Suddenly, he stopped, eyed focused on the rock wall and wouldn't take another step. He literally, pulled me around and back down the trail. I didn't see a thing, but to this day, I'm convinced he knew a rattler was there.
The training works.

NO DOUBT in my mind about that, He is still with Us today because of the training. I just need to get Him to stop sticking His nose in every bush He walks by. Once He saw/heard the rattler He knew what to do and promptly sat next to Me and left the snake alone. He chases EVERYTHING in Our yard, lizards, grasshoppers, Birds, etc. I was worried He might go after the snake.
What beautiful dogs and what a great story. Your dog surely is alive because of your diligence to protect him from things he might normally be curious about.
Thanks for protecting your babies.

I think I would rather be the one who got bit, rather than one of Our Dogs.
Wow, thanks for sharing this. I never knew there was such a thing as classes. With regular rattlers, my dogs just naturally knew to back away, but not sure about the Mohave green ones. I am going to share this post with my Facebook group

Wow! Thank you so much for posting this, and I'm SO glad that your dogs are okay. I didn't even know that there was a snake vaccine. We're about to go out for a year long tour, so I will definitely mention this to my vet when we all go for our check ups before our leave date.
