Hi Im a first time owner of a travel trailer we baought an older 5th wheel trailer 1984 Jayco but we can not fine out were the vin number is for this trailer we are tring to rebuild it and we can't find it anywere does anyone know if they even have one and how do we transfer this trailer into our name and plate it..

Look around the hitch pin plate.

Look for a plate on drivers side front corner.

Should be on a plate on the tongue near the hitch. It might be stamped into the tongue. Can either be on the top or side of the tongue. Sometimes covered with paint and need a wire brush to clean it off enough to read. Some trailer makers weren't too good at putting on deeply stamped VINs.

You might call local state police auto theft detail and they can tell you.
