260 and 87 are both good 2 lane highways. Its a long climb on 260 to the junction with 87 on top of the Mogollon Plateau 6 and 7% grades, 36 miles. From there its 70 miles to Winslow, rolling hills.

Ditto and might add the first downhill of the 7% has road construction narrows to one lane - on a curve of course.

I use it off and on and I don't recall seeing any big rigs or MH's on it. And I probably wouldn't recommend it for one. But it's good road and probably doable, but definitely a steep climb to 87.

From seeing your signature truck that you drive you won't have a problem with it. We've done it often and we've seen many big rigs on it.

Have done the trip with a 40 ft National Tropi Cal motorhome with a Cat 350 towing a Suzuki XL7 several times also once with our present coach and toad with no problems. It is steep but doable. Slow and steady both both up and down will get you there with no problem. We will be doing 260 from Camp Verde all the way to Show Low in a couple of weeks.

It's a pretty trip out of Camp Verde. Be sure to watch for elk.
