I jusr replaced the Shur Flo water pump less than two months ago. It was under warranty. The old one had started leaking profusely around the seal in the middle of the pump.
Yesterday after the race, I went to take a shower. I couldn't have been more "soaped up" when the water just stopped. I got out with a towel and soap from head to toe and checked the breakers and the fuses. They were fine. I banged the pump a few taps but nothing. Tried turning the pump off and on several times but nothing.
I basically ended up wiping down as best I could and rinsed my head off with bottled water.
But what now? Any other idea of why the pump would just quit with no warning or anything? Its not leaking. But it sure ain't working.
The tank had plenty of water but to make sure, we filled it up again today half full and still nothing from the pump.

Before I'd blame the pump itself, I'd stick a voltmeter on the wiring and make sure there's power AT THE PUMP.
If there is, then you probably got a bad pump. Or a bad pressure switch on that pump, either of which oughta still be under warranty.

13.2 volts at the pump. Inline fuse is fine also.

That's really strange. Check the pressure switch and make sure its working, easy to bypass by moving the wire. I've had only one of these pumps ever fail and that was on a 1977 Lance camper after it was 15 years old or so.

This is the newer Extreme Series Shur-Flo pumps. He did say the old style never gave them hardly any problems. These new Extreme pumps not so reliable for now.

I've been thinking about upgrading to one of the variable speed pumps, maybe not now.

Were running one, been in there for at least a few years with no issues.

I would bet on the pressure switch. I have had one go out in the past.

Talked with my service manager today. I asked him what would it cost for me to purchase one of these to keep as a spare on the camper.
He looked it up and said he can't order anymore Extreme Series. Said it looks like they are discontinuing these models. The strongest pump he can now order has about 1 GPM less at 55 psi versus the 65 psi on the Extreme model.
