CampingWorld.com sells a kit. I think that extend a flow is a fitting that looks like the top of a 1 pound BBQ propane tank, and you use a 4' or 12' long extension hose to run a BBQ.
Extend a Stay is another type of fitting that is designed to hook to a hose that connects to the output valve on a 5 gallon portable tank. It will not connect to a BBQ the way it comes out of the box.
What I have is Extend a flow, with the propane top fitting, and I use this to refill my onboard tank by using a pair of fittings that connect to the top of a 1 pound tank, coupled together with a 3/8" fitting. By then having a common 4' hose that is fitted to the 5 gallon propane tank, it also has a 1 pound cylinder top on it, they both bolt together with my custom fitting.
I installed my extend a flow myself, I did need to relocate the propane safety shut off valve about 4" forward, other than that, it went in really easy, because I have flex lines on the outlet of the propane leak detector fitting. I have a 12" long adjustable wrench that was large enough for the large fittings. They only need to be snug, not tight as you can get them, they only have to hold back 400 PSI, nothing more.
Of course I used soapy water to look for leaks once I was done.

It's not really all that hard if you know what you are doing and follow the safety steps. You can get at most RV Parts stores like Camping World or your local dealership. If they don't have one I'm sure they can order one.

Camping World:
Stay-A-While Deluxe #30340.
Hook up a auxiliary propane cylinder for extended stays so your RV won't run out of propane. Includes Stay-A-While Tee with 5' flexible pigtail hose, plus 12' appliance hose. Club Sale price $89.99
If you have never worked with propane, this is not an install to start learning with. Most likely the MH regulator will need to be relocated as the tee goes between the valve and the regulator. If the low pressure side of the regulator has a flex hose then it's not too bad. Just build a mounting plate for the regulator. However, if it's a rigid pipe thats another story.
Don't take chances...........

We bought a stay awhile deluxe years ago at CW for us and our son who also travels for work.
We both use them every winter with a 100# tanks and remove when project is over. Then ours goes in a plastic bag until the next winter.
Have seen some people drill a hole into tank area to hang down. But we've been leaving our door open & use a bungee cord to keep it from flapping on windy days.

The Extend a Stay Deluxe kit has two hoses and two fittings so you can connect a BBQ grill and an external propane tank at the same time.
You can see it HERE
On mine I cut and installed a piece of 1 X 4 that was a slight press fit under the Tee to relieve stress from rough roads.

Tractor supply also has them if you have one near you. It is no more complicated than hooking up a lp tank to your grill.

I would not do it myself unless I was fully qualified. You need different pipe thread seal paste or tape for LP than water piping and the risk is much greater than a small water leak. I had mine done by a reputable RV dealer and the cost was about the same as Camping World (Which I do not trust to do anything!).

This is my Stay-A-While Deluxe. I had CW install it and then several months later I got irritated with having to disconnect the propane hose just to close the door so I had a Custom RV shop add the 90 degree elbow. The RV guy also added the ball valve. He told me that the valve is needed because when you disconnect the external tank and open the valve on the onboard tank - llike when you go to get the external bottle refilled - the propane hose will slowly let gas leak out.
So now I leave the Stay-A-While and the propane hose in place permanently. I close the ball valve, open the valve on the onboard tank, then disconnect the external bottle. Then just before I pull out I feed the propane hose back under the coach and coil it up in front of the Stay-A-While adapter and tie wrap/bunjee it off so that the fitting on the end of the propane hose is secure and will in no way interfere with the onboard tank or fall out onto the road while under way.

Does it have to be professionally installed?
Depends. on how comfortable you are working with propane lines.
When I got mine, I installed it myself, It is no harder to install than removing a tank on a travel trailer or 5-er (or portable grill tank) for refill.
In my case the Motor home tank has Prest-O-Light connectors (POL) which is what I am used to from years of growing up with bottled Propane.
(MOdern grill tanks have ACME connectors)
The only special things you need to remember are...
1: The joke is POL means PUT ON LEFT,, The connector is left hand thread.
2: Bubble test the fittings when done.
IN my case, I did not have to remember 1, cause that's what I'm used to.
