Enjoy your trip to the "Oldest City". Try O'Steen's at 205 Anastasia Blvd for lunch or early dinner (Tues-Sat). Some say it's the best place for shrimp. I'm not one to contest that claim. Very popular with the locals. I've been going back for... oh, nearly 60 years.
The pavillion at the beach area has/had(?)the best fish tacos. The Alligator Farm is almost across the street from the parks entrance. Great spot for photos and don't let the name fool you, there are birds galore there too. Anastasia is one of our favorites and usually full, you're lucky to get to go..Enjoy!

We like Anastasia. We are kayakers, and there are great opportunities right there from the park.
My only warning will be with that 28 footer, you might have problems.
We camped there several years ago prior to heading to Orlando. Great campground but like they said is heavy on the trees and plants so take it slow driving in the loop. Our site was like camping in a tropical jungle. You are far enough from the beach and under cover that the wind shouldn't be a problem. Have fun. We would love to return again.

We live about 30 miles from St. Augustine, and went to Anastasia for a shakedown trip with our new to use 40 foot MH in September of last year.
Had to take it slow getting into our site, it was so heavily wooded. Beautiful campground and beach. We biked to the beach.
Weather will be hot and humid. Chance of a hurricane are very small at that time.
While there we had a "frog strangler" of a rain which unseated our awning. Learned an important lesson.
On arriving I would advise you to take highway 207 off the interstate and then 312 over to the beach side, rather than driving through downtown St. Augustine.

You have to choose your site. We picked one on line and then called the ranger to confirm that we would fit. I think it was site 69. (I have to disagree slightly with fla-gypsy. There are other loops besides Coquina that have long sites.)
We have a 40 foot MH, about 13 feet high with dome. Put out three slides and awning. Had to be careful, but we fit fine.
Trailers and 5ers are another issue that I am not qualified to comment on. (Not that it ever stopped me before.)
