Heres a 1969 JeeP CJ5, this was a factory option. There use to be one parked in front of the boat docks I use to marvel at. 363 units built I believe. This pic was taken 1969, brand new camper. View from drivers side shows the tag axle...

and the problem...seems some one forgot to set ebrake and almost ends up at bottom of petrified forest..

Pics of it being winched by large old tow truck
theres actually a web side for these...cj5camper.comsome more pics-under advertising dozen different sales sheets.
gladiator trucks could also be had-even chassis mount
Though Ive never seen one, 8 page Brochure as long a s link lasts can be seen gladiator camper

There's only so many ways you can arrange a non-basement model truck camper .

These pictures were taken in 86. The truck was an 84, I don't know what year or make the camper was. I know it was pretty well worn out when we bought it. Anybody know what make it was.

My mom & dads TC circa 1967. They bought it used so I have no idea how old it is.

They put it on a GMC 1/2 ton truck. I remember going from So Cal to Indiana in the late 60s and riding on the bed in the cabover most of the way.

The camper was lifted with three tripod jacks and because of the wing design it had to be lifted above the wheel wells before getting lowered into the truck. Scary :0

My aunt & uncles TC circa 1970.
