We have a Class A and was towing our 2006 Chevy trailblazer when all of the sudden the New Tow Bar pin sheered off, causing the tow bar to come off and go through the front end of our tow car.. Good Sam is awesome and helped us out..
has any one ever had this happen to them?

Did you have the steering wheel locked or free to rotate?? If you had it locked, you would drag the front end of your toad, causing extremely higher stress loads on the tow bar, plus the tires on the toad.

What brand/kind of tow bar were you using?

Unfortunately, I have no details. I just heard from a friend, that on their way home from AZ, their tow bar broke. He saw the Saturn Vue in his mirror and was able to stop with no damage to the car or MH. Had a dickens of a time getting the part of the tow bar that was still attached unhooked, due to nasty binding and angles.

I had a pin break on a blue ox. The end looked like it was crystalized.

Sound like your talking about the pin on the left or right of where to tow bar attaches to base plate. He is lucky there is not damage to motorhome or toad. But how is the tow bar?
