Cant tell ya the name but Ive had one of those foldable pet loaders for about 10 years. We always put in place for our Collies when they could no longer manage the steps and I weigh North of 250 lbs and I used it all the time. Only warning Id offer is that when it was damp or your shoes were wet, it was slippery.

We use a pet ramp for the dog only and just move it over when we need access to our trailer. We really don't secure it to anything, just rest it on the top step. Our ramp has three sections and we put carpet on it as it seemed slippery. Our dog is only about 65 lbs but the ramp can accomodate much more weight than that. Without the ramp our dog would not be able to travel with us as she is very old.
In my situation I have to rise 36" so one of those dog ramps is too steep even for a dog and it would be dangerous for a human. I setup the two ramps with a mid height connector box. I only remove the the top one for humans to go in. For the top one to stay in place, the door would have to be open so that is not an option. I would not walk on the ones I have.
I am an engineer and suffer from a condition where if given the slightest incentive, I go off and develop an expensive, heavy, difficult to setup and transport solution which I regret later. I am close to designing an aluminum human/dog front stoop/ramp based on two of these Werner 8' x 28" Aluminum Scaffold Stages. It would have a small horizontal landing at the top and a half height support between the two 8' sections. The 16' ramp would run parallel and close to the trailer. A stiff carpet would fill in some of the cracks. A railing? Somebody stop me please...
Fred- that's hilarious. My husband is also in the engineering field and is inclined to create his own solution. Last camping trip he fashioned a ramp out of an old door he salvaged. He put some supports on the edges and a carpet to protect against slipping. It actually worked for a couple of days but it did, of course, eventually break. Sounds like your creation is much more sensible and safe, lol

I just checked to make sure I wasn't offering the wrong info...now it is priced at $129.....I guess we got it on sale, although I don't remember??
Oh yeah, if you do get it? It holds my 215 lbs just fine as long as I have something to hold on to so I don't lose my balance.
It took about five minutes with our two Aussies to accept it..No Problem!

We have some steps that are to the right of the ramps. The fur campers use the ramp. The two legged campers use the steps.
We tried a 8' long piece of plywood with astro-turf on it - but the bigger dog did not like it. The kiddie slide with the edges on it gives the bigger dog more confidence. Both dogs run up and down it.
