I've had my truck since September. Yesterday I took about 450 sq ft of carpet and pad to the dump. I'd guess that load weighed less than 300 pounds.
Looking at the receipt, I noticed that the dump has the weight of my truck listed as 9560 pounds. Could that be right? It was me, my 3 Weimaraners (190 pounds), topper on the truck and 90 gallons of fuel.
I seem to remember that my last truck (in signature also) was around 7300 pounds. Could this new truck really weigh over 9000 pounds??
Does anyone else have a weight slip on their 3500 DRW crew diesel?

2008 F350SD V10 with an 2012 Arctic Fox 29-5E When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.
That weights probably right on...the dogs and fuel are 1000lbs alone! I was shocked the first time I put my SD on a scale...between the tank, tool, hitch, fuel, more tools, and stuff you can add a lot of weight! I have also heard stories of guys hitting scales across the street from each other with their fivers and finding 1000lb discrepancies! Anyhow-I can't seem to remember exactly how much my F350 weighs real wet(I believe somewhere just under 10K)-but I do know the 550 was 13885 the last time I hit a scale with the fiver...yes-including the pin!
A big diesel DRW is going to start out at over 8000lbs these days.
Add a topper (300lbs), you (?lbs), Weimaraners (190lbs), and 1000lbs of fuel and tank... That's 1500lbs right there.
