Well, I guess I now have a better idea of why I get the MPG I do. Love the truck, but it is living up to the nickname my wife gave it - the Queen Mary.

Bionic Man wrote: I've had my truck since September. Yesterday I took about 450 sq ft of carpet and pad to the dump. I'd guess that load weighed less than 300 pounds.
Looking at the receipt, I noticed that the dump has the weight of my truck listed as 9560 pounds. Could that be right? It was me, my 3 Weimaraners (190 pounds), topper on the truck and 90 gallons of fuel.
I seem to remember that my last truck (in signature also) was around 7300 pounds. Could this new truck really weigh over 9000 pounds??
Does anyone else have a weight slip on their 3500 DRW crew diesel?
2008 F-450 with me, a full bag of fuel, and nothing else, tipped the certified scales at the nearest truck stop at 9,400 lbs.

Some of you need to go on a diet! My dually crew cab 05 dmax is all of 7300 lbs empty sitting there! Altho with a pipe rack it does gain some lbs, some junque/tools in the back seat put it around 8000-8300 or so.....Then again, I have had 2-3 pallets of concrete pavers in the bed, that put me close to 15-16K IIRC going across a DOT scale......

My '97 F350DRW diesel 4wd reg cab cab/chassis with 11' steel flat bed weighs 7200-7400 lbs, depending on how much fuel is in the dual tanks, 20 gal each.
my 2011 F350 Dually Lb CC with 6.7 with full tank of fuel, all of 38 gal, not 90 like yours, and two small dogs and myslelf comes out right at 9000. My 2010 250 set up the same way was about 8600. Yes, they are heavy! What was kind of weird is that I weighed the each axle then did it again with only one wheel on the scale at a time on one side, it came out that the front was 220lbs lighter on the left side and the rear was 180lbs lighter on the left side. And I sit on the left side....anyone else have this discrepancy or should I try it again.

My '07 DRW, with the rack and toolboxes as seem in sig pic tips the scales at just under 10K pounds. That includes ladders on top and in the back, and a hefty compressor in the back.
Rack and boxes with ladders weighs about 2K pounds, so that would put me around 8K pounds without all the stuff in the back
