Stopping at the grocery store Thurs nite on our way to camping. I want to pick up some little neck clams and cook them on the grill. Never done this before so I figure low heat and cook slow. Has anyone else done seafood on the grill? Any tips, suggestions or recipes? Trying to get "out of the box" on our cooking. We tend to make the same things over and over.

I just put the clams in foil with some water and lemon to steam them and set them on the grill. YUM

SHHHHHH !! Dont tell them how, Tell them we have to be there to taste test them to ensure correct temperature setting. This may require a bushel or 2 filled with clams so we get it just right. I'll even bring some beverages along

We do like CampingChris for clams. We also do oysters. We clean the oysters, pop them on the grill till they start bubbling out, the open and plop them in garlic butter. If you think you won't like oysters, try them this way...YUM!!!

I just plop the littlenecks right on the grill and when they open up, they are done. Could not be more simple, or delicious!!!! Maybe add a little Tabasco if the mood is right!

Substitute white wine for water, add a little butter and garlic ..... Making myself hungry now

Just place some foil on your grate,place the clams on the foil and wait for them to open up.I love my butter but I don't even use it when I cook my clams like this 'cause they are steamed right in their own juices. The only reason for the foil is that the sea water from the clam will rust an unprotected grate instantly.
