We stayed at the Mt.Rushmore KOA for a couple of days and would definitely stay there again. They have on site stables and horseback riding available. We had a great ride through the area.

I checked out the horseback riding when I stayed there. They took one look at me (I'm not overweight, I'm under tall)and said I had to carry the horse.

Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

It is time to book, regardless of your choice. We enjoyed Fish'n'Fry last year.

If you are in the Black Hills the last weekend in September don't miss the buffalo roundup in Custer State Park. There is also an art/craft show there at the same time that is good. Big Pine campground on the west side of the city of Custer is also a good campground.

Stayed at Happy Holiday campground just south of Rapid City a few years ago. It was really a nice place to stay and I've always kept it in mind should we return to the Black Hills.
