I have a 1999 Fleetwood that does the same thing. I have been chasing this problem for years. Mine does not happen with any consistency, but at the most random times.

I had the same problem with mine last year. Went through the same steps as you with no results. Changed out the wall thermostat and everything works as it should.

I've also heard that some flourescent light fixtures can put enough noise on the DC power lines to cause thermostats to do funny things.
