I found some wire that is a hair larger than 1/0. I want to replace the wires from the batteries to the converter. I can get the connections for the battery side but don't know how to connect to the converter. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

One way is to use short lengths of wire that will fit in the converter (or Dc panel lugs) and have ring terminals on those short pieces. With rings on the ends of the 1/0, just bolt the two rings together and wrap with tape.

My PD9260C has double screw down slots for large battery cables. The output terminal maximum rating is for 2AWG size battery cables according to the manual.

PD9260C Converter/Charger
I would use something like this Blue Sea Systems 2106 MaxiBus 250 Ampere Common BusBar (4 x 5/16-Inch Stud Terminals) and use the proper size 1/0 cable ring terminal to fit a 5/16-inch stud. Then you could run a short 2AWG size cable from the bus bar to the PD9260C terminal.

Solder a copper lug on the end of the cable and then cut/grind the end of the lug to fit into the PD Output terminal.
Just a thought.

Don't depend on soldering to hold it...make it a mechanical connection (pinched) first. You can then solder if you want, but it won't be needed.
Soldered connections break over time with vibrations, and in a high-current situation like this it will start to create heat which will exacerbate the problem.

Me too cheap for any of the above. The wire should be as close as possible to the maximum size that will fir the receptacle on he inverter.
Paste flux and solder, stripped wire ends. Use a flat file to reduce OD perfectly to fit. Use only 60/40 solder as 50/50 and below won't be easy at all to use.

Gees... Just cut some strands off and stick it in there. Your only carrying 60 amps which less than half that size wire will easily pass with no noticeable change for a short length.
