I have a 2010 Keystone Cougar TT and preparing it for the camping season. After hooking it up to power, the fridge won't cool. I tried it on gas and electric and nothing. I saw another post where someone had moved the rig back and forth and it worked. I drove around for a few miles and still nothing. I don't smell amonia, or notice anything unusual besides it not working. So my question is: Is there anything I can do myself to investigate before I take it to the dealer and pay a ton of money?
I'm using the camper tomorrow night and would really like for it to be working.
Silly question, but does stove burner work? Maybe you just have air still in the lines from storage? Can you see flame in burner, or hear ignitor clicking/sparking? Also do interior lites work, so you know battery is ok?
Finally, how long did you wait to see if it is working? Usually takes several hours at least.

Our Dometic side by side quit cooling with no leaks. All I did was remove fridge from unit and turn it upside down overnight, then upright has been working ever since. No hard to do if you have a helper!

@robsouth: I'm not certain what you mean by "cool down". The camper has been in storage for 1.5 years (I know, I know), and I hooked up to it from where we have it stored, drove about 10 miles to the house, tried to turn on the fridge and nothing. We tried and waited for about 2 hours until it was late enough we just gave up.
@Chuck&Gail: I did not try the stove yet. I'll check that tonight too. When I was trying to fiddle with it, the TT was connected to 20 amp house connection. We waited about 2 hours and nothing.
@ NanciL: I'm not sure how to take it out, I'll look at it when I get home. The light is on when I open the door.
We have had this problem before, took it into the dealer for maintenance and they said it worked fine. I'm starting to think I'm doing something wrong but they are such simple machines it's hard to screw it up right?

Thanks again everyone!
I didn't say to take it out. someone else did.
There is no way in a million years I would take mine out unless I was replacing it.
If the light is on, and you are handy, and can trouble shoot, take your meter to the back and start at the fuses and follow the schematic that is there from point to point and you might find the problem
