Yes I would expect that on a camper that comes from the factory with roof air and a generator. They typically won't install an A/C that the genny can't handle. But on an RV that either doesn't come with a genny, or a roof air, or both, you need to be aware of the fact that you can easily over-run the capacity of the generator if you install (or already have) the wrong A/C. With only 2.5KW to work with, it could happen.

I'd be surprised if if 2.5KW could run the A/C on my camper, since at times it seems to be running right on the edge of capacity with the 3.4KW Generac I've got. We have to be careful what we turn on in addition to the A/C when running off the generator. I've even had the genny shut itself down from high oil temp's when running ONLY the A/C in the blistering heat.
