Did my first oil change on my new 3500. I found only 9 grease zerks. Thought there used to be 10?

Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

I'm tuning into this thread. I'd like to know how many and where they all are.

Guess I don't know what all of those things are.

Pretty sure my 06 had ten--got rid of that in 09.

Whatever the round bar that goes from side to side--had a zerk on the left hand side.

This truck doesn't have a zerk there.

Think there should be 11, at least that's how many my 05 has. Not to say they couldn't have done away with some. Found my notes

4 = Upper and lower ball joints.
2 = Outer tie rods.
2 = Inner tie rods.
1 = Idler arm.
1 = Pitman arm.
1 = Center link.

However a quick check of the Diesel Place forum says that from model year 11 on there are only 9, so apparently you got them all.

Nope, your 06 had 11, the one is a real bear to see and get too. I bought an 18 inch flexible hose just so I could get that one. Used to have to bend it into a loop and feel the zerk with my hand cause I couldn't see it lying under the truck, just knew it was there.

I always drop the front splash pan when doing a service on my trucks.

Makes getting all of the zerks a cinch.

That is all well and good but that post is from 2005. I imagine it has changed in 7 years. So how many on a 2012?
