I was talking to a RV serviceman who said that he was once poisoned by his hose that was laying on the ground and dirty water had gotten inside of it and his RV water lines. Since I don't know the history of the previous owner I think I'd rather be safe for my first use with this hose.

Even though they are rolled and the ends connected together to keep the "crawling critters" out, you never know what may be growing in that damp, dark environment.
