X2. Stayed there for a week and really enjoyed it, as well as being very close to all of the attractions in the Black Hills area. Have fun!

I have heard that there is a flintstones themed campground fairly close.

Yes there is, down in Custer. the theme park is nice, but the campground leaves a little to be desired. I was there back in 05 and going by recent reviews in RVPR it is still the same. it could be very nice with some updates and maintainance.

With all of those kids everyone will be much happier if you go to the KOA--including all of us staying at Rafter J.
Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

Thanks for the info, this is what I really love about RV net. I have thousands of friends I don't even know with answers to my questions. With the kids we are headed to Palmer Gulch KOA. I think they will have fun. We only take them on one big trip a year and I really think they will enjoy this.
