I'm getting this from one of my previous posts...

When are you about ready to come home? We've been out about a week and return home Sunday and I'm ready!

Love my little Jayco, but I miss full sized showers, a dishwasher, W/D, and having a little more room to move around in. Is that bad? Tell me I'm not the only one.

Guess there goes my full-timing dreams. Lol So tell me, when are you done and ready to get home? Or are you ever?!

I completely understand...after a while, you just have to persevere.

Home is your RV, wherever it happens to be. IMHO, that's part of the beauty of it.

we're in week 6 of a 12-week trip and we're not in any way, shape or form ready to go home. i suspect that at the end of week 12 we still won't be ready. but home we'll go as we have obligations to attend to. we try to travel 6-mos a year (3 in the spring and 3 in the fall) and it's always sad to have to head home. i miss some things at home but not enough to cut the trips short.

We realized after each trip, no matter how long, that we didn't need 1500 sq ft of townhouse, 2 vehicles, and a garage full of "stuff". Got rid of eveything, moved into the fiver and never looked back. So to answer your question, we're always home wherever we are.

Never ready to go home even after 3 months out. When we traveled by car and stayed in hotels - 8 days max and we were passed ready to be home. In the MH? Never.

My longest trip has been a meger 3 weeks. I've never wanted to come home yet! Longest time parked in one spot has only been 7 days. Longest time in one area was 9 days at Death Valley but spent 3 mights at three different cg's.

I've often thought about why I NEVER get tired of my little TT over my nicely sized and well appointed home. Maybe it's my sense of adventure and love of exploring. Knowing that I must come home at some point to resume the life I must live could be why. I dunno....

Are you getting to locations that are vastly different from your home area? Are you doing different activities than what you do at home? I can understand your feelings if you are doing the same things with the location being the only difference. Not knowing where in Texas you live, It can take all day just to get out of such a large state.

Our last trip was ten weeks and when it came time to go home for Thanksgiving we were torn between celebrating TG and Christmas at the same time, but seeing the DGKswon out and we went home. Our trip started on September 15 and we drove North to Canada and East thru Canada and the US to the Maritimes and then down thru New England and East Coast and by the time we were heading to Florida we were tired of rain the FFF(Fabulous Fall Foliage) and just wanted to see some cacti. Loved all of the trip and will do it again with the DGKs but we are from Cali and we're used to dry and spacious but don't need the S&B, it's just someplace to visit with the DGKs and our old friends. Sort of like there are other forums/BBs but coming back to the RV.net is so satisfying.
