Ok so the wife and I go back to the dealer to check out the bullet premier 26bhpr and we also looked at the bullet 281bhs. Both VERYYYYY nice trailers. So the ? is they are both about same weight the premier is 7 inches taller but almost 2 feet shorter. The bullet 281 is 7 inches shorter but almost 2 feet longer. We love the layout of both and both will fit our exact needs. The kicker is the premier is $500 more than the regular bullet. Oh what to do what to do we want one of them BUT WHAT ONE LOL. HELP! ANY suggestions would be great from all you guys and gals here!! Thanks
Oh and yes this would be our first ever full size TT as we have been pup owners the past 7 years now Towing will be a little different I assume.

If the interior height is acceptable in the 281, I would go with the longer trailer. Given that is almost 10% increase in living space.

Other than the arched ceiling, the 26BHPR is a traditional bunk house trailer (like mine!). Just about every manufacturer has this layout because it really works well for the small to mid-sized family. The bunks are strictly for smaller people. Kids or teens. Adults will not be comfortable in them. Other than the large pantry, useful storage is limited. (I am not including the space under the booth seats because it is a pain to access them with any regularity.)

The 281BHS doesn't have the arched ceiling, but it has bigger bunks that would accomodate adults, and more bathroom space. The kitchen configuration is kind of odd with the fridge behind you. That may cause alot of traffic jams while preparing meals. The kitchen counter has a bit more space, and by the pictures, it looks like there is much more cabinet space than the 26BHPR, but it doesn't have that big pantry. So NET kitchen storage may be about the same. I like trailers with two doors, but this one goes into the bathroom. That seems odd, and in my mind, kind of reduces the practicality of it to just an emergency exit.

Both units have the entertainment center flanked by curtains. I was able to find a 26BHS with an actual wall and sliding door. The curtains are not enough privacy.

Honestly.. if it were me,and I had to choose between these two. I'd pick the really cool two-toned brown paint job of the Premier. Now that's STYLE!

Yea forgot to mention the Premier has the 2012 look with all white trim and the bullet 281 has the 2013 look with all the black trim and awning and the comfort package that is out for a limited time also!

I would be willing to bet the height difference would not be noticed or an issue once you are in either TT. Also, when it comes to a TT, $500 is negligible and I would not use that as a factor.

Which TT has better storage? Which TT seems to fit your family better with the thought of 2-5 years down the road...assuming you don't trade up? Does one have nicer appointments that you gravitate to?

I would choose the longer of the two if all other factors are acceptable

Compare size of black/grey tanks, clothing & kitchen storage, slide length, kitchen counter space, bathrm space, mattress quality, awning length......

I think you need to go sit in both trailers as a family with the doors closed and pretend to do all daily activities that you might do on a rainy day (ie kids playing games or with toys, dad watching tv or walking to bathroom while mom cooks etc) then think about where you will put things (ie mom's clothes in that cabinet, pots & pans in this cabinet, toys/games in that drawer, chairs in the pass through etc). Also sit on toilet, stand in shower, if you bathe small kids, how about room for mom to bathe the kids etc. This will help determine the functionality of the two TT's for you. That said, the 26bhpr is very similar to the layout in my TT. We are a family of 3 and it is a great layout for us. The narrower bunk is a bit cave like. My 4 1/2 yr old DD was scared in the dark in there at night but we fixed that w/ glow in the dark moon/stars stickers. Now she loves her little hideout. The bathroom is tight but works. I like the extra floor space this floorplan allows so we don't trip over the dog and my DD can run around playing with toys or do floor puzzles etc on a rainy day if we want to be inside. One thing I like about my TT over this one is it has hard wood sliding doors to your curtains for the master. I do like the curtain to the bunks in the 281bhs model and the bigger bunk but think you get less floorspace with a heavier trailer. Is that a pack and play door on the 26bhpr or just a window? I have found the pack and play to be a great option for storage but it has a window that doesn't open.

I think if the weight of the TT's is not an issue, it all comes down to functionality for you and we can't make that call for you. Good luck and happy hunting.
