Lost my 5.7 Smart Sensor water pump on way home from TX back to CO. Blew lines out with air...but that is NEVER a sure-bet. ShurFlo did warrant my pump, but it didn't show up for two weeks.
17 degrees the next morning...AND...I had ice. Guess I won't know if any thing broke until I pressure system up tomorrow in MOAB, UT. I usually have a back=up water pump, but just bought this ToyHauler. RATS.

Curious to hear how you made out...If it was 33 at 5am and sunny yesterday and today I'd imagine that you didn't freeze-takes way longer to drag the interior temps down and get a hard freeze...now if the wind was blowing 30-40 mph that's a different story.

Good luck at the races!

How'd it go?

This race is now on my list for next year. Probably motel it though, that's a LONG way to haul the trailer for one day's racing. In relation to main street where do you camp at V.C.?

Well no frozen pipes or water pump. I went off the temp on my iPhone app and I don't think it was very accruate. When my friend said it was low 30's at 5am I felt better. Even though they didn't freeze this is all good info to have.

As for the race it didn't go so well for me. Crashed and burned in the 3rd loop, bent the shifter and couldn't get the bike to shift out of 1st gear. With that I went to the first check point, which was on a paved section of the course, end putted back to the pits. Had Just got home, unloading the truck9 guys in our group and one took 53rd out of close to 600 rides so that's pretty good. Had great time Saturday night, watched the riders for the Sunday race take off, then headed out of town... Good times.

Not many hotels in VC except Silverland and it's probably already booked for next year. There is a RV park in town but I couldn't get in, booked and a waiting list a mile long. Your best bet is to get a hotel in Carson City or in Reno. The Wednesday before the race they start letting you park trailers in town on some of the side streets and some dirt areas that are below the pit area. I had no issues getting a spot Wednesday evening, but I wanted a spot that I could easily get out of and head out of town.

Thanks for the info. Probably stay in Reno then, didn't think there were any hotels. Hate to leave town and miss all the parties though, those saloons must get major crazy! With names like Bucket o' Blood you know good times are close by. Long pull from Burbank for a weekend.
