This past year I have been lucky enough to unexpectedly experience Blue Bird, Airstream, Antique Tear Drop Rallies at the CG I had been staying at while traveling. Seeing those RV's upfront and personal and meeting the dedicated owners of these treasures was certainly an added pleasure.
This weekend I just found out I am staying at a CG close to a Bikefest!
Well the toy haulers and bikes have just started to roll in the CG last night, what a sight to behold! I've never seen such outrageous looking toy haulers and the Harley's, that just goes without saying!
Never a dull moment full timing! Now if only I can get the dogs to appreciate the moment when they fire up all the hogs around us!!

Well, you're probably not in Myrtle Beach since their bike week is not for 2 weeks.
Outer Banks bike week is ending this weekend.
Might you be in Ocean City?

I just got the local newspaper from the CG manager. BikeFest to be bigger than the one in Daytona, being held this weekend in Leesburg. They say it fills up CG's sometimes within a 15 mile radius!
I never really gave it much thought that they would arrive in toy haulers and be in the CG's. Thought they roughed it and drove their Harleys thousands of miles to go to bikefests!!

Very interesting! Did they charge you an increased fee for this
weekend?
Enjoy!
I'd love to be there... anywhere... for a bike fest/week, but DW hates the noise.

HA! I picked this CG last week because it was empty and I just needed a little quiet down time! So no, got a real good rate. This weekend will be entertaining.
Boy these bikers sure do know how to cook though! Last night the great smells of all of them cooking was coming thru my vents in my MH the dogs where walking around on their hind legs trying to find out where the smell of cooked food was coming from. Traveling with me they don't very often get to smell good cooking like that!

I always wonder just what percentage of biker folk are actually suit-n-tie the rest of the time. I am not hating, just curious. And jealous.

Alot of the toy-hauler-biker crowd are professionals in the real world. You have to be to afford the rigs and rides..
Would love to be there

I think it is pretty much a mixed group. Some are yuppies who have enough money to buy a nice bike, then you have the ones who have probably been riding since they were old enough to stand one up. lol
I wish it was bike week where we were going this weekend. I love the energy of those things. I don't have a bike I just like the sounds and energy.

Baring the ones sporting the Hell's Angles jackets......I'd say ALL of them! Don't think you can be homeless and afford a Harley or any other of those cycles nowadays! Not to mention add in the cost of the TT and TV!
There is a bar in Illinois on the state line called R&R Crossing, in summer time every Sunday 100's of bikes gather there for a steak cook out. We went every Sunday just to see all the bikes.
One group of bikers on brand new Harley's all had the same blue jacket called the Blue Knights, with a skull on the back each with their own number in the middle of the skull. I asked what the number stood for......it was their badge number!!!!!
Yup they were all Chicago's finest! And on their Sunday day off rode their new Harleys together, sported bandana's, leather and all the other typical cycle garb complete with 4 earrings in each ear. Albeit one guy did tell me that all the earrings come off when the uniform goes on.
