I've ordered the Rancho shocks and the Helwig sway bar.

Keep in mind that the 8-pac leaf springs on the truck, '88 GMC V3500 1-ton crew cab, are flat with the camper on the truck. Thats w/o any thing in the camper 'cept the LPG tanks and refrig.

My other additional options are;

1. Single leaf spring each side, rated at 1,500-lb each.

2. Air bags.

3. The RoadMaster Active suspension.

My instinct says new springs and then add the other if necessary.

What say you ace camper and suspension gurus?

I would go with your instincts , and then add regular overloads if you don't have them . A spring shop can build you springs to carry any weight you want .

Definitely a trip to the spring shop is in order, with the camper loaded on it.
