I swaped my smaller mirrors with OEM Camper mirrors when I got the truck. They block the view behind the mirrors. But I have adjusted to them and like them alot.
When I got my truck it came with regular mirrors not towing mirrors. I was able to buy a set of the factory extendable mirrors off of one of the forums the I frequent. These were the accordion type. These work fine until a passing big rig decided to join me in my lane. It was going to cost too much to fix / replace the broken parts so I got a set of CIPA (sp) tow mirrors.
I did not have any problem with the Accordion Mirrors and really liked them. The new mirrors have a much larger glass which is nice. I did have to use a stick on spot mirror as these mirrors did not have the built in stops. If I ever replace these I will go for the newer style mirrors with the spots and turn signals.
Either way to go you should be fine,
