My DH and I boondock a lot. Whether in Arizona or Oregon, we like to have fresh water available and the ability to dump our tanks without hauling the 5er out of our space.
Picture 1 shows 2 barrels on the back of our 5th wheel. One is for dumping the tanks (we have a Macerator) and the other is for fresh water. We move those to our PU when we need to deal with them.

WOW! It only took 3 minutes for someone to say that!!! ROL -- yeah, we put a sign on the right one that says "TURD TANK"..... and I always do the sniff test before drinking water.

Whats tank capacity (in gallons)?
Water weighs 8.35# per gallon so with both filled you have a bit of weight back there.
And thats not counting the ....ahem, heavy stuff.

Neat idea, but I don't get how the whole thing works...You say you move them to your pickup when you're dealing with them. Those barrels look like they'd weigh around four hundred pounds each if they're full!
Is yours a fifth wheel, and the tanks travel empty on the bumper of the trailer 'til you get to where you're going?

Then he takes them off and lays them in the pickup truck (one at a time) on a "cradle" he built. We drive to where there's water/dump and get it fill/emptied, whichever. No we don't travel with EITHER of them full and DH isn't strong enough to lift them when they're full... Both scenarios, when a barrel is on the truck, he just backs up to the water tank "filler" or the holding tank area, and deals with them. BTW - we camp with a group in the spring......THEY love these...LOL No more 5 gallon water jugs all ovetr the place.
