Depends on how old your children are. We camped at Bandit Roost but it was in the fall, so no swimming and it was just for a weekend and the kids at that time were 8-12, not much for them to do but fish. We camped Easter weekend at Zooland and loved it. My DD is now 13, had a good time in game room and fishing, putt putt, and they have a very nice playground. The pool will open Memorial day weekend. We have also stayed at Crosswinds in Linwood, very nice with things for the kids. Jellystone in Marion is a very good choice also, but just called for Memorial weekend and they are full.
We stayed a Bandits Roost a few years ago and really enjoyed it. It all depends on what your kids like to do. For a feel of what the park looks like, here is a review with pictures.
I can tell that those pictures are a few years old. The playground has changd and has been updated. But that was about the nicest part of the campground when we were there. The sites were deteriorating last year when we were there and not as clean as other COE campgrounds we have stayed at.

I have driven thru Bandit's Roost scouting campgrounds, and have actually stayed at Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury.
I have a 13 y/o daughter and 10 y/o son and we thoroughly enjoyed Dan Nicholas Park. Not much to do at Bandit's Roost if you don't fish or have a boat.
Several other atractions in the park such as nature center, carousel, miniatur train etc. (Links from website above) Prices for each are within reason.
We just got back from Bandit's Roost. My 3 kids (boys 14 & 12 y/o, girl 9 y/o) enjoyed it. If the swimming area was not open, it may have been different. They rode bikes, swam, fished. My kids don't look for video arcades, etc. when we go to a campground - give them a lake, river, or ocean, and they have fun. Place did not look run down, sites were in good condition, showers dated but functional. We will definitely return.
