Good Years are a couple hundred worse..but, have 'em on the 5er and they are really nice tires.

We're getting taxed to death with the high cost of oil.

Even the tire shops are starting to catch on to the the dot com sales. Our family owns a wholesale tire business so when I need tires they are shipped to our house. Just got the new summer 265 50 20's for the DW car last week. Throw everything in the back of truck and head down to good old Les's. Yikes $36.50 per wheel to mount and balance. Couple of years ago they did the truck for $15 per.
Funny I pulled up and could hear one kid mention .com to the other one.

That is painful. If you're not dead set on Michelin, you can go with Continental HDR (factory tires worth a darn?) for about $2000 for six shipped from tirerack.com

I just picked up a set of four used tires (OEM BFG Rugged Trail) for $400. They have 80% tread left. Good deal!

You can't get a better made or longer lasting tire than Michelin. Worth every penny to me.

Tires have gone up a lot due to higher price for oil, etc. I bought my 6 Michelin XZA3 275/75R/22.5 H rating tires in August 2010 for $3200 with a date code of 30 days from date of installation. Replaced tires were 8+ years old with two having very slight cracks around the rims, so decided to replace before they failed and caused damage more then the new tires.

If the voters don't get wise this November prices for everything will go higher, especially electric, with numerous coal fired generating plants being shut down.

Have been very satisfied with my Michelins.

I haven't bought a new set of tires in ten years. My last set of Michelins cost me $400, with 5k miles on them, and I enjoyed them for another 50k miles.

To the O.P. I too have a F450. These prices is why I replace 2 at a time! I replaced the fronts with the original equip. Continentals at $800.00 for both. That's up here in Canada where we pay premium for everything.
