I settled. Went looking for a unit a little more basic than what I wound up with because the dealer had the wrong sale prices in the window with the VIN numbers attached. Wound up getting the much nicer/more optioned unit at a lower price than the lower cost units sale price. When I picked it up, they informed me the sale price of the lower cost unit was accidentally attached to the higher priced unit. Their mistake was my gain. It's a 2008 & as of last year, a 2008 model optioned like mine was selling used for more than I paid for it new. At the time I couldn't go any larger because the Dodge Dakota I had would have struggled too much to pull anything heavier.

Am I confused? Why would I buy something I didn't like during a deep recession when everybody wants to sell me anything and everything?
Wife and I went to a huge RV display at a local Walmart in Cody yesterday. Although we have the TT we wanted we still looked. I didn't see one TT or anything else that I liked, or would say, "we should have waited and bought this one." The units I saw were cheaply done interiors, and very high prices. What are these dealers thinking?
WAIT! Keep in mind, we are still in this recession. Take full advantage of it when you are shopping for anything, including an RV.

I was fortunate to find a very gently used TT that was exactly what I wanted. Got it at a great price.

this will be my 4th camper to date. I am wanting a model that just isn't around my area. I am now thinking about ordering. ugh. I really wanted to see one ya know. Still on the fence.
thing is I like this camper and would keep it no problems, it is hubby that (his word) hates this camper. says it pulls like a log wagon he never did like it, I had the call on getting this one.
being my 4th camper to come, I see great deals out there but I think I will hold out for EXACTLY what I want this time.
just the usual hemming and hawing before spending money

I settled. Only because they don't make the exact floorplan I want.
I like everything about the design of our toy hauler but it only comes in a 12' garage. 14' or more next time.

PUP was a deal... my parents bought it for me to use and join them on trips.. BH was deal and what I wanted... it was very slightly used.. Tent was deal (all I could afford at the time) Next TT was DEAL, bought from parents when they went back to MH, Current TT was I wanted (except upholstery -- I didn't particularly care for fake suede), Next RV, I hope is deal and what I want.. next (in about 5 years) will be my FT home.

Length of time you plan on owning also a factor. We were thinking 1 yr on the road as we sold it all to do this and used stick house proceeds to buy. So, we wanted a "below market price" so we can recoup most of the cost to repurchase brick/mortar home down the road. But that's just us, and, 3 weeks into this adventure, it may last longer than a year.
Loving home being where we park it!

Sad to say, time to sell to a good home.

This is our 5th trailer, we ordered it from the factory and got it just the way we wanted it. The best part we got a better price than if we bought it off of the lot!
