I have the same opinion on memory foam as some above - like sleeping in mud. Rolling over or sliding over is impossible and they are hot.
I replaced my original mattress with a Sleep Number RV King with radius corners. Sleep Number makes the radius corner versions in King (available from CW only), and Queen and Short Queen from Sleep Number stores. It was a direct size replacement for the original mattress and turned out to be lighter too.
CW had it on sale right after the first of the year at a good price so I bought it. Would I do it again? Absolutely, no hesitation. Love it.

Love our sleep number. Wish we had one in the house. We will when our five year old high dollar mattress gives up the ghost.

Had a sleep number bed and returned it. Just a big air bag for lots of $$$. They also have some problems with the remotes. IF yours fails it can take up to two weeks to get a new one. If the air bag is deflated where are you going to sleep?
I just use a high quality foam topper.

We have a memory foam in the stick and brick and a sleep number in the MH. I have 2 herniated disks in my lower back and another 2 in my neck, I sleep much better on the Sleep Number than I do on the memory foam.

We love our Sealy we have at home, however, we don't want to spend over $3,000 for our motorhome! We saw reviews for the sleep number and there were lots of positives, but now not sure. We could do the memory foam top--don't know if that will do the job and why waste money if they aren't worth it. For now we will move ours to the MH for our 3 week trip and continue our quest for a better mattress. TY

WE have had a sleep number in the coach for seven years and will not give it up for anything else. Twice we contacted the manufacture once for new side foam and once for a new controller. They GAVE us the upgrades at no cost. Really like them.

www.rvfoammattress.com If you have back troubles, look at their 8" foam mattress. It comes from their residential series. I bought one for the house when my wife was in that time of her life when "everything" was hot, and not in a good way either. It was very comfortable on her back and hips, as she was a elementary school teacher at the time. Hours on her feet and bending over to work with the kids. It was much cheaper than most of the others with a "controller", and easier to put into the house. Ships on UPS and comes rolled up in a box and easy to handle. I have two of the other RV mattresses in the TC. Good luck on your search....

Well, 10 plus years on both the RV and house one, never a problem with the remotes, the one replacement took over-night. Wonder who you were talking to.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

What a mix of responses. Guess hubby and I need to go to a dealer and lay on the sleep number. He had disc replacement surgery and still has pain sometimes. He will be the main one driving, so needs good sleep. Thank you all for your responses. Now, question for those of you who like your sleep#---is it easy to install or is it something CW should do?

Installing a Sleep Number bed is much much easier than a traditional mattress since it is assembled on site. Very easy to to get into the bed area vs having to bend and manipulate a traditional mattress around corners, etc.
