On my first trip since Transynd/filter change, the tranny is running about 10 degrees cooler, even when compared to colder weather operation...my fluid had 30K miles

I just had Transynd put in my duramax pickup and I noticed the same cooler temp immediately when I left the shop. Maybe it was worth the $375 after all.

What benefits, if any, would I see from transynd?
here is the official answer from Allison Transynd Info
Several links at the bottom of the page. Bulletin 1099B explains DIY conversion.
The short answer is Longer fluid life, reduced temp (really only seen when towing heavy loads).
My truck came from the factory with Dex VI and it has been changed by me including the spin on filter every 25,000 miles since new. My towing temps are barely higher than non-towing.
I saw the same thing when I did my truck. Mine came with Dex III. Alison syas 2 changes to get full benefits. I paid $220 for enough fluid for 2 changes and $16 for 2 filters. Nice having an Alison shop 2 miles from work.

What type of fluid did you originally have before you changed to Transynd? Was it transynd or dexron?
