I'm looking for ideas on which satellite finder to purchase. I'm tired of using a signal finder and a satellite dish receiver.

Alight a site works very well, but is expensive. There is also an app for smart pl
Hones that will allow you to pin point a clear location for your dish. I have both. Align a site I have had for several years and works very well.

Birdog Meter will locate any satellite, and tell you when it is found.

Assume you're referring to an automatic system. Dishnetwork Tailgater seems like a good one, if you go with DN. Only issue is that it is only compatible with one receiver at this time. (211k)

I helped a fellow camper aim his using the android app for satellite. What it does is puts the phone in a camera like mode and when you point it skyward, you can see the satellites by name. I held it up behind the dish and we had it aimed in a minute or two. If it were me, I would make a little bracket to hold the phone on the edge of the dish while aiming. I can't imagine it getting much easier than that except the Tailgater. That thing is awesome. Just drop it on the ground aimed somewhere near the southwest, and watch tv.
