I am being told that a 2011 Canyon Star model 3856 (39ft) triple slide on a ford F53 chassis and ford gas engine has a CCC of 4760 lbs.
can this be possible????? most diesels that i have looked at don't have that mich CCC.
any opinions?
the only way to know is to weigh the actual unit. But that does seem high for a gasser
2009 Newmar Ventana 3942
2010 Pace Shadow 18ft
2010 KTM 450 XCW six days
2010 Can Am Outlander 650 XT
2009 Yamaha TTR125
1989 Douglas Skater 21' Twin 2.5s
The Newmar you are looking at is built on a 26,000 lb frame which is the same one they build the 3920 toy hauler on, thus the increase ccc. Most brands would build this unit on the 22,000 lb frame.

1979 28 Foot Shasta
1986 26 Foot Honey Class C
1989 36 Foot Southwind

So it's built on a 26K chassis and still has 4760 left for CCC, that leaves 21,240 for wet weight. That does seems too light for a 39' three slide unit. I would bet it's correct though Newmar likely wouldn't make a mistake like that.
