It would be a good idea to get a roadside assistance policy. I would suggest CoachNet. They often use the same tow/service companies as Good Sam and others but CoachNet gets better reviews for reliability than the others. They are easier to contact at anytime and anywhere, they follow up on calls to ensure everything was handled properly and promptly, they are more likely to send the correct service the first time, etc.
Nice bookend thread to the thread where the guy said he went to Camping World and no one spoke to him for an hour and a half. Some of what that salesman said was true, especially about the service. Read some of the posts where if you didn't buy the rig from a dealer, they won't service it. What is so bad about telling you he doesn't have the rig but can get one for you? Sure hope everyone who has a job has a corresponding forum with posts saying how stupid and lying they are when they are doing their job. Perhaps we should just lump the lying salesman in with the cheating mechanics, the crooked CPAs, the flesh eating Lawyers, the incompetent Doctors, the glorified babysitters we call teachers, the drugged addled, reckless driving, prostitute chasing truckers, and don't forget the lazy government workers, the cheating politicians, and the do nothing stay at home moms. As far as I know, the only people who earn an honest living are Pro Wrestlers, and sometimes I think even that may be rigged. (How long before a response by those of you who don't understand satire, my bet: two posts)
Something to consider. All the manufactures rely on the dealers to handle warrently work and tweek the units after they receive them. Find a good dealer with a great reputation for service and you will probably find a dealer who will give you a fair price and deal and one you can trust when you need work done.
I found one by talking with others I know who have a RV. Been very happy and they even did warrenty work after our 2 years since we were on extended travel to Alaska and did the work after we returned.
As for ERS. We had Good Sam, had 2 bad experiences in 2 days. Switched to Coach Net and them when we traded from a 5er to a C Coach Net came with it from the Manufacturer. Extended for 3 years a year latter and within a month had to be towed over 100 miles 2 days in a row. Never saw a bill and the communication with Coach NEt was excellent.
That sales jerk is what turns some many folks off; the lie thru their teeth - and think the public will not check it out. If you like the folks at home, buy from them - they will do you right. As for staying places free, they are all over the place, CW is one. As for service, you will be fine with your local dealer.....after three purchases, I only went back one time for service - you will learn to do much of the repairs that could pop up. Safe travels.

I have often thought Pro-Wrestling was rigged as well.

20-20 had a show the other day called True Confessions. One of the "confessions" was from a car salesman who admitted pretty much all car salesmen lie like dogs.

Pro wrestling may be rigged? Ack, today is a day without sunshine.
Let me tell you a short true story... I drive a 2005 Damon Intruder purchased from a dealer in S.E. Michigan..
When I pulled into Las Vegas with a couple of problems one Friday, I camped till Monday, Called my service rep at Damon, and he gave me the number of the local (To Las Vegas) Damon dealer, and I got it fixed, under warranty.
YES, it does not matter where you buy, you can go to any authorized "your brand here" dealer for service anywhere in the country and quite possibly a few that are NOT in this country. AND there are more of them then there are Camping World Stores.
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business
