We have a new to us 2006 Itasca Horizon. It has HWH jacks on it and a strange thing is happening I can vent the bags and press the HYD button a second time to start the auto sequence and, for instance if the right side is low you would expect those jacks to go down first. But noooo the left side jacks go and the coach feels like it is tipping. Then the (low) rights try to come up usually everything gets so extended that the pump stops. (probably low fluid)

If I try to manually lower the very high left side I have to use the buttons on the right side to do it and vice versa on the left side. It is like the buttons are reversed.

Anybody have an answer?

I sounds like you've got some wiring (or hydraulics) reversed. I would give HWH a call--they have a very good reputation for support.

You can even goto the HWH website and download the manual, it has a troubleshooting guide. Either the previous owner messed it up or the computer/system needs rebooted.

I had some trouble with my HWH air leveling system and I emailed HWH Corp. and they were great to deal with and very helpful. In my control box there are several plugs that go to front and back and side to side. Sounds like maybe someone has mixed them up. The techs. there will figure it out for you.

That's exactly what should happen. All jacks start and drop at the same time. Only when all 4 feet are on the ground can the system level the coach automatically, and while the jacks are still in the air are on the way down, you may have some movement of the coach from those already on the ground. When the pump stops is does does sound like it's low on oil, but I think that's a pressure relief.
IF it doesn't auto-level.. level, then there is an adjustment up front on the control box to do a calibration on the control system.

NOT correct. HWH Auto level does NOT drop all jacks at once. IF any Yellow light is ON, then those 2 jacks for that corner/side drop and lift the coach to level and turn off the yellow light. Then it drops the other jacks and once they touch the ground, the jack mounted pressure switch senses that and shuts off that jack. THEN, once all 4 jacks are extended and touching. the system goes thru another pressure check to make sure all 4 pressure switches are satisfied(in case one jack is NOT touching the ground). IF NO yellow lights are on(RV is sitting level without the jacks extended) then all 4 will extend at the same time. This should be the OP's link to the operating manual for his system. Doug

The pump stops because your excess slope light comes on. Correct? If ANY jack reaches full extension without the RV level, the Excess slope should come ON and the system shuts down. Now to your problem, it is possible the 4 jack solenoids are miswired and the left is the right and vice versa. EACH wire to the jack solenoid is labeled---RF/LF/RR/LR. The 2 center solenoids are the front solenioids and the 2 outside are the Rear solenoids. Look at page 13 in the link I gave you for your manual to see which solenoid is which. Then verify the 4 wire connections are on the correct solenoids. Make sure all 4 T handles are closed. If ANY were open then that jack for that solenoid would retract after the system shut down since it is open(released). Make sure your fluid level is correct----retract all 4 jacks and check the fluid level. Shoud be about 1 inch below the top. Doug

Thanks everyone.

I will contact them. The previous owner said something
about"adjusting" them and I found an instruction sheet for a replacement board. I think he may have replaced the board and reversed the left/right connectors. If the coach is not far from level it actually works although I am not sure how.

download a hwh service manual for your system. there is a page on positioning the jumpers ON the level sensor in each manual.. there is also a separate page for this in the quick reference service section. the jumpers have to be positioned according to the direction the control box is facing. this is how the control box knows for certain which end or side is low.the previous owner apparently did not do this. if the coach is level, the system just goes into the stabilize mode, thats why it will work sometimes. if you need further help. pm me

Replacing the board does NOT have anything to do with the wire connections. ALL board connections are plugs that cannot be messed with. As another stated, the boards are sent with 1 specific orientation and the install sheet states how to reset the jumpers for HOW your board is mounted. This orientation has to do with HOW the level sensor will sense the corners. Nothing else. So, if the jumpers are NOT installed correctly for your mount location, the level sensor cannot level and sense the correct corners of your RV. Hence your problem. Lucky for you, you found that sheet to help see your problem. Here is the link for how to set the jumpers. Doug
