Welcome to the Forum Melinda!

Only been fulltiming a couple of years, but my three would be:

1. You're not on vacation. Slow down.

2. You don't need half of what you brought with you.

3. Don't forget regular maintenance on your RV.

Have fun and again, welcome to the Forum.

Always see the setting sun
Pack half as much as you think you need
Give away all your winter clothes.

Number one will be the hardest for me. I am always rushing and rushing (maybe it has to do with all that is on my proverbial plate right now). I dont think I have ever driven the speed limit. That in itself feels liberating to think about!

1. mail forwarding and paying bills - eliminate junk mail and magazines.
2. doctor appoints (we have ours every 6 months at the same time), medical insurance, prescription meds.
3. Keep a list of places you want to go see and stay in one place long enough to experience the things nearby. If you're always in a hurry you miss some great parts of this wonderful country!

1. Don't make rigid plans. That includes campground reservation.Leave time for serendipity.
2. If someday because you didn't make rigid plans all the campgrounds are full ,there's always a Walmart not too far away.
3. When something new comes into the RV something old has to leave.

I read your latest blog post. If you find a good floor plan you might be able to remove some of the furnishing and make bunk beds or put in a couple of fold down couches. Fulltimers often rip out the dinettes and couches so that they can set things up the way that works for best for them. Check to make sure that there aren't water tanks or anything else hidden that would make it necessary to leave the furniture in place.

1. Leave NO storage units behind!
2. Slow down, stop and stay along the way.
3. Bring quarters.....lots of quarters for laundry.
