The Nashville KOA has nice, shaded sites, FHUs including Cable and WIFI, and is located on Music Valley Dr. Exit 12 off of the Briley Parkway (Rt. 155). Two miles to Opryland. Not cheap, but right in the heart of the tourist area. They run a shuttle to Opryland.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.
I've stayed many times at Two Rivers, just down the road from the KOA (which I also stayed at, just once), and much prefer Two Rivers. They also have shuttle service, and offer advice and sell tickets to many other attractions in the Nashville area.

To Opryland, the hotel, and the surrounding shopping center. It's been two years, and I can't remember if there was a charge for it or not. They also will book you on tour buses that go to other shows and attractions in the area, and they will make arrangements for getting you the tickets if you want to go yourself. Click here for more info on what they recommend in the way of nearby attractions.
Jellystone, Two Rivers Campground, and KOA are all right next to each other on Music Valley Drive and all 3 are nice campgrounds so you couldn't go wrong at any of them.

11 miles from town is seven points campground. It is a core of engineers which I hear are very nice, but have never stayed in one. And because it is tied with a national park it is half price with golden access pass.
