My wife and I just bought our first RV. It's a 30' Coachmen Freelander. We have read that you should keep the humidity level below 50%. We are not sure what kind of dehumidifier we should get to keep the humidity low. Does anyone have a recommendation?

I do not use a humidifier. I have never felt the need for one.

You only (may) need one in the winter, the AC does the job in the summer. Get one that you can put on the counter, and has a drain hose to drain into the sink. Turn the bathroom vent on high (out/exhaust) when in the shower, make sure the blades are NOT turning when you flush. If you have a vent fan that exhausts outside, use it whenever cooking.

WE have one that you wen put on the counter top, and has a drain hose to drain into the sink. Makes a big difference. Ours is a 70 pint.

I posted this past winter that I was very pleased with the Eva Dry 2200 dehumidifier I bought but it has now QUIT so I will retract that statement.

Check the power supply. That's usually what fails. I just got a PS on Ebay ($8). The Eva-Dry works well otherwise.

Thank you for the advice. We have looked at the Eva Dry 2200 online and consider it if we need it.

Would the power supply be likely to fail in 6 months??

We have a 35 pint dehumidifer that we used on our trip to Montreal in 2010. We also used it once in Feb. in Yuma when it rained at night and everything was covered in dew the next morning. Ours is a Whirpool and was recently recalled and after much to do, we were finally given a brand new one. Although we don't use it often, we find it necessary in colder weather. We have a 25 ft Nash with storm windows and this helps keep the unit comfortable in colder weather.
