We carry an unmounted spare in a storage bay. Yes, it takes up some space and it adds some weight, but I don't have to hope my road service provider can locate a matching tire if I am stuck alongside the road somewhere. Fortunately, I have never had to use it.

Since spare tires for a DP are usually VERY large, and VERY heavy, and a jack that can be used under a DP is VERY large and VERY heavy, and the lug nuts are VERY tight (requiring a large and heavy impact wrench or a very long breaker bar), it is felt that the average DP owner (likely being an older gentleman or lady) can't handle the things anyway, so there is no use putting them in the rig.
That's what roadside emergency service policies are for.
IF/when I ever get a DP, I more than likely WILL purchase such a policy!

This makes sense. Perhaps I will look in to roadside assistance.
